Pan Fengguang is a Professor, a doctoral supervisor, a director of the College Teaching Committee, and a visiting scholar at UC Davis. He has participated in or presided over more than 10 projects, sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the General Logistics Department, the Science and Technology Department of Jilin Province, and the Changchun Science and Technology Bureau. Areas of his research focus are the deep processing and safety inspection technology of agricultural products, the high-value utilization of agricultural by-products, and waste disposal. In 2011, Dr. Pan Fengguang was awarded the third prize in the purification and activity of the enzyme by the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin Province and the Department of Education respectively. More than 50 papers of his have been published in academic journals at home and abroad, 9 of his teaching materials have been edited, and 6 of his national invention patents have been authorized. At present, he is an expert in the Degree Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education, a Science and Technology Special Commissioner of the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin Province, a member of Jilin Province Microbiology Society, and a member of Jilin Province Food Society. In addition, he is a reviewer of Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Journal of Food Science, Journal of Food Science and Technology, etc.
